Qingjiang River in Hubei Provincehas been inscribed onto the list of“Most Beautiful Hometown Rivers”,the Ministry of Water Resources announcedon March 22.

Qingjiang River is the second largest tributary of Yangtze River in Hubei Province.Itoriginates from Lichuan City in western Hubei Province,flows east throughcounties and cities ofEnshi, Xuan’en, Jianshi and Badong inEnshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, ChangyangandYiduin YichangCity.

The riverstretches 423 kilometers.There is an old saying goes that the“800-li (Li is a unit of length equal to 0.5 kilometers) Qingjiang River is as beautiful as a painting.”

In 2019, scenic spots in ChangyangalongtheQingjiang Riverattracted 11.19 million tourists, generating 10.7 billion yuan in tourism revenue.(en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
